Domina Participates in US Supreme Court Submission
David A. Domina joined Washington DC lawyer Howard Shapiro, University of Wisconsin antitrust professor Peter Carstensen, and Cohutta GA lawyer Cindy Johnson, is an effort to redress a wrong to a poultry producer in Tennessee. The filing against Tyson Farms was made January 5, 2011.

Too Big to Fail Strikes Agriculture
GIPSA is in the process of issuing new rules to regulate the marketplace. The proposed rules would have only a modest effect on a firm like Eastern, but they have drawn the ire of big players in the cattle, hog, and poultry industries. The biggest packers and producers call the proposed new regulations “draconian” and claim they will “set the meat industry back 50 years.”

The collapse of this massive firm is going to be devastating to thousands of cattlemen, sale barns, truckers, ranch hands, and many others. US Supreme Court Considers Petition for Writ of Certiorari
The United States Supreme Court has a Petition for Writ of Certiorari, co-authored by David A. Domina with three other lawyers, under consideration. The Court will decide whether to review a Sixth Circuit decision against a poultry producer, Alton Terry. Mr. Terry sued Tyson Farms, Inc., because a poultry processor refused to honor his request to be present when his birds were weighed to determine the amounts owed him.
